Malaysia Set to Implement Consumption Tax

LONDON—Malaysia's government is on track to introduce a long-delayed consumption tax of 6% in April 2015, a government official said Monday.

During a speech in London, Dato' Sri Abdul Wahid Omar, minister in charge of economic planning, said that the government is working on developing the technology needed to implement the new levy.
